AM: Welcome to Colombia, a country that captivates with its diversity, color, and warmth. Located at the northern tip of South America, Colombia is a vibrant tourist destination that combines lush nature, rich culture, and unmatched hospitality.

An international flight will bring us to Bogotá! This colorful city, located at 2,600 meters above sea level, is the nerve center of Colombia and a cultural destination. The historic district of La Candelaria is home to museums, galleries, and national monuments, as well as impressive historic architecture.

This city offers a fascinating blend of history, culture, and modernity. Upon arrival, we will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel, where we will spend the first nights of our journey.

Located 2600m above sea level at the base of the Guadalupe and Monserrate mountains is Colombia’s capital and one of South America’s leading cultural destinations. Patrons of the arts are spoilt for choice with the city’s museums, art galleries, stage theatres, and national monuments.

AM: After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our tour of Bogotá. We’ll start the day by visiting the Cerro de Monserrate, one of the most iconic viewpoints, where we’ll enjoy a spectacular view of the city. We’ll stroll through the charming, cobbled streets of the La Candelaria neighborhood, a colonial maze that will transport us to the past of the city. On this journey, we’ll discover the historic Chorro de Quevedo, known as the place where Bogotá was founded. We will also visit the imposing Plaza de Bolívar, a meeting point between the past and the present, surrounded by the Primada Cathedral and the National Capitol.

During the tour, we’ll take a break to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where we’ll have the chance to try typical dishes like ajiaco, bandeja paisa, and traditional arepas, reflecting Bogotá’s rich and diverse gastronomy.

PM: Afterwards, we’ll head to the Gold Museum, home to the largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldwork in the continent, which will captivate us with its history and splendor. At the end of our day, we will return to the hotel to rest and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at our own pace.

AM: In the morning, we will head towards the town of Zipaquirá, located just 48 kilometers north of Bogotá (1.5 hours).

Here, we will visit the majestic Salt Cathedral, an ancient salt mine transformed into an architectural and spiritual marvel. We will explore the tunnels and descend deep into the cathedral, located 180 meters underground.

As we venture deeper, we will immerse ourselves in a mystical atmosphere, illuminated by impressive light displays that highlight the natural salt formations and religious sculptures carved by skilled artisans. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá is considered one of the most remarkable architectural and artistic achievements of Colombian architecture, earning the title of a modern architectural jewel. Afterward, we will visit the town of Zipaquirá and have lunch at a typical local restaurant. At the end of the tour, we will return to the city.

AM: It’s time to discover a new destination. In the morning, we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to the Coffee Region. Upon landing, a private transfer will be waiting to take us to our beautiful hotel, where we will be staying for the next few nights.

This magical corner of the country, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a true visual gem. Its valleys, framed by majestic mountains, are home to charming, colorful little towns. Rolling hills blanketed in an emerald-green tapestry of coffee plantations create a symphony of colors, textures, and aromas that form an unforgettable landscape. The gentle contours of the land reveal the meticulous work of generations of farmers who have cultivated coffee with passion and dedication. This region invites us to immerse ourselves in the history of coffee, its lush natural surroundings, and the warm hospitality of its people.

AM: After breakfast, we will visit the Cocora Valley. This valley, located in the Andes mountain range is famous for being home to the wax palm, the tallest palm species in the world and a national symbol of Colombia. These majestic palms, rising toward the sky like towering guardians, offer the perfect opportunity to capture unforgettable photos.

Reaching extraordinary heights, they create a unique and almost surreal landscape. Their presence in the valley is so remarkable that the wax palm is considered both a natural and cultural treasure of Colombia. As we walk along the

trails, we will discover the diverse flora and fauna that flourish in this exceptional environment.

Next, we will visit Salento, a charming town nestled in the rolling hills of Colombia’s Coffee Region. With its colorful architecture, lively traditions, and warm local atmosphere, Salento is one of the most emblematic villages in the area. Its vibrant facades, adorned with wooden balconies and brightly painted doors, create a picturesque and welcoming scene. We will stroll through its cobblestone streets, taking in the architectural and cultural richness that reflects the history and identity of this beautiful town. We will also enjoy a well-deserved break for lunch at a traditional local restaurant, where we can savor regional flavors before continuing our exploration.

AM: We’ll enjoy an exciting mountain bike experience through beautiful natural landscapes, taking in the fresh air and panoramic views as you ride along scenic trails. This adventure offers the perfect balance of fun, outdoor activity, and connection with the stunning surroundings of the Coffee Region.

PM: After the ride, we will continue to the charming town of Filandia, known for its colorful streets, traditional architecture, and relaxed atmosphere. Here, we’ll have time to stroll through the town, explore local shops, and experience the calm, scenic beauty that defines this town. A great combination of adventure and culture, ideal for travelers looking to experience both nature and local charm in one memorable tour.

AM: In the morning, we’ll head toward a coffee farm, where we’ll enjoy an authentic coffee experience. High in the mountains of Risaralda, at 1,500 meters above sea level, lies La Divisa de Don Juan, a family-run coffee estate that proudly celebrates the legacy of Colombian coffee. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, they welcome us to share their passion and offer an immersive journey into the heart of Colombian coffee culture.

Over the course of approximately three hours, we’ll dive deep into the Colombian coffee experience. Our visit begins with the story of the host family, followed by a visit to the nursery, where tiny “chapolas” (coffee sprouts) are born and begin their journey. We’ll walk through the plantations, learning about the growth stages, planting techniques, special care practices, and the main coffee varieties cultivated here, especially Arabica. The estate’s guides, experienced coffee growers themselves, will share their knowledge with warmth and passion. Beyond the technicalaspects, this tour is an invitation to live the coffee culture, through direct contact with the land, the people, and the stories that give life to one of Colombia’s most iconic treasures. At the end of the tour, we will be transferred to our hotel in Pereira.

In the center of the western region of the Colombia, located in a small valley that descends from a part of the western Andes mountain chain, the picturesque university city of Pereira typically serves as a convenient base to explore the nearby postcard-perfect town of Salento. The region is backed by an exquisite landscape of lush, green undulating hills dotted with coffee plantations producing some of the world’s best coffee.

AM: The time has come to discover a new destination. In the morning, we will say goodbye to the charming Coffee region taking with us wonderful memories, and we will be picked up and transferred to the Pereira airport for our flight to Medellín. Upon arrival, we will be greeted and transferred to our hotel.

Once considered one of the world’s most dangerous cities, Medellin has since shed its bad reputation and is now more commonly referred to as “The City of Eternal Spring”, treating residents and visitors to consistently warm temperatures. Medellin is located in Aburra Valley and surrounded by seven hills that provide excellent views of the city.

AM: We will begin our tour through the most iconic sites of Medellín, discovering how resilience and creativity are the very essence of this ever-evolving city. Our first stop will take us to Parque de la Inflexion; a deeply symbolic spacebuilt on the former site of one of Pablo Escobar’s residences. Today, a striking black stone wall, 70 meters long and 5 meters high, honors the memory of the 46,612 victims of violence and stands as a symbol of hope, peace, and social reconstruction.

We’ll then continue to one of the city’s most innovative transport systems and board the Metrocable. As we glide above the hills, we’ll enjoy panoramic views while listening to the fascinating story of the city’s transformation.

Next, we’ll begin a short walking tour that will take us to Plaza Botero, a vibrant cultural space in the heart of the city. Here, the monumental bronze sculptures of renowned Colombian artist Fernando Botero breathe life and character into the open-air plaza.

PM: After lunch at a typical local restaurant, we will head to Comuna 13, a neighborhood that has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis. There, we’ll see how the Hip Hop project has not only served as an artistic expression but has become a transformative force, rebuilding the social fabric, instilling hope, and shaping a brighter future for this resilient community.

AM: Today, we begin our fascinating journey to Guatapé, located 79 kilometers from Medellín, a drive that will take approximately two hours. Our first stop upon arrival will be at the Replica of Old Peñol, a memorial built to honor the original village that was flooded during the construction of the hydroelectric dam. We’ll then head to the base of the imposing El Peñol Rock, where we’ll begin our ascent. This massive granite monolith rises to an impressive heightof 220 meters and features 720 steps leading to its summit.

PM: After making our way back down, we’ll continue to the charming town of Guatapé, from where we’ll embark on a boat ride across the reservoir, lasting approximately one hour. During this scenic journey, we’ll delve into the fascinating story behind the creation and development of the reservoir while taking in the breathtaking landscapes that surround it. Once the boat ride concludes, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and explore the town’s colorful streets.

Guatapé is famous for the vibrant murals and decorative baseboards (zócalos) that adorn its buildings, each telling a piece of the region’s rich cultural history, lovingly shared by its local residents.

AM: Today, we will be transferred to the airport to board our flight to Santa Marta. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to welcome us and take us on a scenic journey to our hotel in Palomino, a peaceful coastal destination surrounded by nature.

Flanked by the dramatic Sierra Nevada Mountains and one of the most perfect beaches, Palomino is best known for its enticing natural beauty. This little tropical village is situated in the Guajira Region along the northern Caribbean coast. The landscape is characterised by rugged terrain, volcanic sands, and coconut palms along the soft-sanded beach, which is lapped by calm turquoise waters.

AM: Today, we will be transferred to the airport to board our flight to Santa Marta. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to welcome us and take us on a scenic journey to our hotel in Palomino, a peaceful coastal destination surrounded by nature.

This little tropical village is situated in the Guajira Region along the northern Caribbean coast. The landscape is characterised by rugged terrain, volcanic sands, and coconut palms along the soft-sanded beach, which is lapped by calm turquoise waters.

AM: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a unique experience in the heart of Colombia’s natural beauty. We will venture into a fascinating hike through the jungle of Tayrona National Park, an ecological paradise of indescribable beauty, which will take us through trails surrounded by lush vegetation and impressive biodiversity. A private transfer will take us to the Zaino and Cañaveral area, where we will begin our journey toward Arrecifes. This route will lead us through a captivating trail that crosses tropical forests, with variations in microclimates, where the flora and fauna are at their fullest splendor. Along the way, we will hear the songs of various bird species, and if you are lucky, we may spot squirrels and monkeys playfully jumping between the trees.

After about 45 minutes of hiking, we will reach one of the most stunning destinations in the country: the beaches of Arrecifes, famous for their pristine beauty and breathtaking landscapes. We will continue our adventure with a 25-minute walk that takes us along the beaches of Arenilla and the Natural Pool. Finally, after another 20 minutes of hiking, we will arrive at the awe-inspiring beaches of Cabo San Juan a place where the sea and the jungle meet in a perfect embrace. Here, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in a paradisiacal setting, and have time to relax in its crystal-clear waters, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the landscape. After this unforgettable experience, we will be transferred to our hotel in the surroundings of Tayrona.

The Tayrona National Park is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta reserve and is one of the country’s most popular natural attractions. Once home to the Tayrona people, the area still encompasses sacred sites occupied by indigenous groups, and archaeological remains that include the pre-Hispanic town of Pueblito, an ancient town scattered with archaeological remains.

AM: Today, you will enjoy a free day in the surroundings of Tayrona National Park, a stunning natural area where the lush rainforest meets the Caribbean Sea. You may choose to relax on the nearby beaches, explore scenic trails, observe local wildlife, or simply unwind at your lodge surrounded by nature. You can also visit small rivers and hiddenbeaches in the area or connect with local communities that preserve the region’s cultural heritage. It’s a perfect day to embrace the peace and natural beauty of Tayrona.

AM: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will continue our journey through the Colombian Caribbean. We will be picked up and driven to Cartagena, a scenic route that offers unique panoramic views along the way. As we travel, we’ll witness the beautiful contrast between the coastline, tropical landscapes, and vibrant local towns that characterize this region. This pleasant drive will set the perfect tone before arriving in the enchanting city of Cartagena.

The port city of Cartagena is set on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. It is a popular beach destination boasting a balmy tropical climate. This Caribbean coastal city offers visitors a mix of the enchanting old and the exciting new. Step into the cobbled streets of the walled city, a World Heritage Site with 400-year-old stone walls covering 13 kilometers, and explore an intricate maze of pastel-hued homes, colonial architecture, churches, and historic sites such as the Palace of the Inquisition.

AM: After enjoying our breakfast, we’ll set off on a panoramic guided walking tour through Cartagena’s historic center and the vibrant neighborhood of Getsemani. At our own pace, we’ll explore the city’s rich architecture, history, and culture as we stroll along cobblestone streets lined with colorful facades, lively squares, centuries-old churches, and monuments that tell the story of its fascinating past. This experience will also take us into the heart of Getsemani, where local spirit is powerfully expressed through street art, music, and everyday life.

Highlights include the imposing Clock Tower, the peaceful San Pedro Claver Plaza, presided over by the church dedicated to the apostle of the enslaved, and the majestic 17th-century city walls, originally built to protect Cartagena from pirate invasions.

We’ll also pass through Bolívar Plaza, the historic and cultural heart of the city; admire from the outside the Palace of the Inquisition, with its elegant colonial façade; and walk past Santo Domingo Church, whose lively square features “La Gorda Gertrudis”, the iconic sculpture by Fernando Botero.

The route takes us past the magnificent Heredia Theater, an early 20th-century architectural gem that continues to host major cultural events and stands as a symbol of Cartagena’s vibrant artistic legacy.

We will then explore Getsemani, a former working-class neighborhood that has become a symbol of cultural resistance and urban transformation. Its cobblestone streets are decorated with colorful murals, festive flags, and a creative energy that has turned it into a hub of artistic expression and local life. We’ll uncover its rebellious history, its tradition-filled plazas, and the bohemian, authentic atmosphere that sets it apart from the walled city.

More than just a walk, this experience allows us to live the true essence of Cartagena, a city where colonial elegance and contemporary expression coexist in harmony, and where every street and square tells a story of vibrant soul, deep history, and warm, welcoming spirit.

AM: Today, we will dedicate a large part of the day to enjoying a unique experience aboard an exclusive catamaran cruise. We will embark at the Muelle de la Bodeguita, right in front of Cartagena’s majestically walled city, where we will be welcomed with a refreshing cocktail to begin this magical and relaxing day.

We will sail across Cartagena Bay, heading toward the paradisiacal Rosario Islands. Upon reaching Isla Grande, we will stop near the vibrant coral reefs and anchor for approximately an hour and a half. This will be the perfect moment to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters or explore the underwater world with a snorkeling session surrounded by the region’s impressive marine life.

After a delicious snack, we will lift anchor and continue navigating through the stunning Rosario Islands. At Isla Caribarú, we will anchor in front of a dreamlike beach, where we will savor an exquisite lunch prepared on board while admiring the surrounding tropical scenery. Beverages such as water, sparkling water, soft drinks, juices, and lemonades will be available freely throughout the excursion.

After lunch, we will have time for a second swim in the turquoise waters, relaxing and enjoying the serenity of the Caribbean. To conclude this unforgettable experience, we will lift anchor once more and sail back, gliding over the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea as we make our way toward the Muelle de la Bodeguita, the starting point of our adventure.

AM: Today marks the end of our extraordinary journey through magical Colombia. A comfortable transfer will pick us up at the hotel and take us to Rafael Núñez Airport, where we will board our flight back home.
